Assam police also arrested on Saturday the subinspector woman who had sent her fiancé to jail last month in a case of fraud.
In fact, Majuli police arrested Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha on the same charges of “criminal conspiracy” and “deception” under which his promise was arrested.
Confirming the arrest of Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha, Majuli Police Superintendent Gautam Bora told the BBC: “Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha has been arrested on various charges today. It is possible to say so many charges over the phone. arrested on charges of fraud and fraud. ”
Police allege that this policewoman, along with her fiancée during her trip to Majuli, “defrauded” many people.
Earlier, two contractors Ram Avtar Sharma and Ajit Bora had filed two separate FIRs against Junmoni Rabha’s fiancé Rana Pogag, accusing him of financial fraud.
junmoni rabha arrested
These contractors had alleged that Junmoni Rabha had introduced them to Rana Pogag and it was because of this police lady that they had given money to Pogag to get contracted work from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, i.e. ONGC.
After Junmoni Rabha’s name appeared on the FIR, Majuli police questioned her on Friday and arrested her today.
In these allegations against the female police officer, it is said that Rana Pogag used to take money from people to cheat Junmoni’s bank accounts. In these, there are allegations of taking 11 lakh 33 thousand rupees in the Majuli Canada account and 9 lakh 14 thousand rupees in an Axis Bank account.
Junmoni’s fiancée, Rana Pogag, currently housed in Naugaon Prison, was arrested under Articles 120B, 170, 406, 419, 420, 468, 471 and 472 of the Indian Penal Code.
Junmoni and Rana got engaged in October last year and were about to get married in November of this year. But even before that, Junmoni Rabha had arrested his fiancé last month, accusing him of various charges, including cheating.
FIR registered at Naugaon police station
Junmoni Rabha herself had filed a FIR against her fiancée Rana at the Naugaon police station and made many complaints to the media that only after the engagement did she know the person with whom she was going to make her life partner. In fact, he is an alleged cheater.
Junmoni had even said that during her first meeting, Rana Pogag had described herself as an ONGC public relations officer, which impressed her.
In fact, Junmoni’s first meeting with Pogag, a resident of Majuli, was in January last year when she was assigned to Majuli. After several meetings, the two fell in love and after a few months they both committed to the blessings of their families.
On the subject of his engagement and then cheating, Junmoni had said: “I was sent to Majuli and I met him in January 2021. The head of the police station, an acquaintance of mine, became acquainted with the agents of police. There was an identity. “One reason for this could also be that he was involved in fraudulent work. So he might have felt that maintaining an identity with the police would help him in the future. I had to have that mindset. “
Accused of cheating thousands of rupees
But now Junmoni’s arrest and all charges against her point to the fact that she herself knew all about the work related to her fiancé’s fraud at some point in advance.
According to police reports, she herself was involved in the act of cheating on her fiancé and is accused of cheating many Majuli people with thousands of rupees.
After registering an FIR against his fiancée Rana, Junmoni had said that the person to whom Rana had cheated with 25 lakh rupees had come and explained everything. At that time she was highly praised on social media after the news of the arrest of her fiancée and the sending to prison for revealing many things about her, but now she herself has been arrested for all these charges.
There was another reason to praise her as a police officer. Because in January this year, Junmoni explained the responsibility of the public representative to the ruling deputy of the BJP Amiya Kumar Bhuiyan during a telephone debate. There was a commotion when the clip of the phone conversation leaked to the media.
In fact, the MLA had asked Jonmoni not to follow the tribals on a boat captured by police.
But while Junmoni, while teaching responsibility to the deputy himself, asked how he (the deputy) despite being an elected representative can ask the police to “breach the rules and regulations”? When the clip of the conversation between the two came out, people praised the courage of the police woman.
But now, following the news of the arrest of Subinspector Junmoni, where some people are praising Assam police on social media, some people say that Junmoni has misused the name of the police. However, while he was being taken to court in police custody, Junmoni told the media that a conspiracy had been hatched against him and that he had been implicated in the case.
