Nutan began her acting career as a child artist in the 1945 film Nal Damayanti. At the age of 14, Nutan received an offer from K Asif’s Mughal-e-Azam film. Nutan, who was considered ugly, was offered the role of Anarkali in the film, but she turned it down.

During treatment, Nutan was working on films such as Garjana and Insaniyat. Nutan’s husband, Rajneesh Behl, died in 2004 in a fire in his apartment.

The lawsuit between Nutan and Shobhana, which lasted 20 years, ended in 1983. The case ended and the conversation between the two began, but the relationship was not the same as before.

After Nutan’s death, Shobhana said, “I didn’t even notice Nutan’s departure.” I came back from the funeral and said, bring me food, as if nothing had happened. Nutan was very sweet, but she had lost the will to live. She understood that there are not many days now.

He let his illness progress. If I had been careful, I would have lived longer. She used to say, I want to wake up, now I’m sleeping. My Mirabai is gone. In 2000, her mother Shobhana also died of cancer.

Sooraj Barjatya did not want to put Nutan’s son in a negative role
Nutan’s son Mohnish Behl made his feature film debut in 1983’s Bekraar. When he auditioned for Sooraj Barjatya’s Maine Pyar Kiya, the director refused to accept it, saying he was Nutan’s son.
