The case of journalist Mohammad Zubair, co-founder of Alt News, is constantly in the headlines. He was arrested on June 27.
Mohammad Zubair has been accused of hurting religious sentiments and spreading hatred.
The whole issue is about one of his tweets from 2018. According to the complaint received by the police, Mohammad Zubair allegedly posted an image with the intention of insulting a religion.
This photo was actually a screenshot of a scene from the 80’s film. This film was released by the famous director Hrishikesh Mukherjee in 1983. The name of the film was’ Kisi Se Na Kehna ‘.
Like most other films like ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Golmaal’ by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, this film is also a cheerful, ‘half way’ film from a middle class family .

Amazing from Utpal Dutt and Rishikesh
Outstanding actors like Farooq Sheikh, Deepti Naval, Saeed Jaffrey and Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s favorite Utpal Dutt are the main characters in this film.
A screenshot of the film could have been in the headlines, but far from the controversy, this film called ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’ has been shown many times on television after passing the censorship board.
Just as Utpal Dutt in the movie ‘Golmaal’ insists that young people of the modern age should not be interested in sports or fashion, he must have a mustache and the dress must be very traditional.
If not, youth is useless. Bhavani Shankar of “Golmaal” even tells his daughter, “You will not marry the person you love, you will marry the person I love.”
Similarly, in the film “Kisi Se Na Kehna”, Kailashpati Trivedi, i.e. Utpal Dutt, insists that his son (Farooq Sheikh) marry a girl who does not know “veggie-English”. which is of the people. Because according to Utpal Dutt, young girls who are educated in English are not educated.
He tells his son, “I’ll bring you a girl who knows my own culture and culture, who doesn’t know a word of English.”
That is, the debate between current culture and modernity, in which Hrishikesh Mukherjee has put his style of comedy and the whims and chaos of the characters there … and together they make it an entertaining film.

Rishi specializes in eccentric, quirky and quirky charactersyes
The theme of the film is that Farooq Sheikh is in love with Ramola (Deepti Naval), who is a doctor.
If the whole thing is summed up in a dialogue by Farooq Sheikh’s uncle, Saeed Jaffrey, “Ramola is MBBS and your father (i.e. Utpal Dutt) wants a girl who doesn’t even know ABC … but it’s a pandit of the Ramayana. and Mahabharata. “
After posing as a village girl, Deepti Naval marries Farooq Sheikh and now the exercise is not to tell this secret to anyone.
The initial credits of the film are filmed differently: each character appears on the screen in an entertaining way and secretly says “Kisi se na kehna” over and over again with beautiful illustrations.
Hrishikesh Mukherjee has created many memorable characters in his films who are a bit eccentric, quirky, though not bad at heart. Kailashpati (Utpal Dutt) of ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’ is also such a harassed character. Like the Om Prakash character from ‘Chupke Chupke’ who has the ghost of speaking pure Hindi.

Sanjay Dutt or Sanjay Gandhi?
In his films, Hrishikesh Mukherjee used to catch a lot of real characters in the middle of the story in a fun way and also used to laugh. For example, in ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’ all the real celebrities of the 80s, who must have been in the discussion at the time, have been mentioned with one excuse or another.
Take this scene from the movie. Deepti Naval is being prepared to pass the “test” of Utpal Dutt and Saeed asks Deepti in Naqvi (referring to Mahabharata): who was Sanjay? So, making an innocent face, Deepti responds quickly, “Who is Sanjay, Sanjay Dutt or Sanjay Gandhi?”
Sanjay Dutt debuted in 1981 with the film ‘Rocky’ and Sanjay Gandhi died in 1980. Obviously, the shooting of the film would have taken place in the same period.
The mention of sports also reaches Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s films through excuses. As ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’, while praising his dancing girlfriend, Deven Verma says that just as Kapil Dev is a versatile, so is his promise in all kinds of dance.

Or the scene where Utpal Dutt is going to see a girl who is a fan of rock music for her son’s wedding. When Utpal Dutt mentions Pandit Ravi Shankar, the girl (Ketki Dave) says, “I find classical music boring and those who play it too. But this new artist has come, it’s not the tabal, Zakir Hussain, he’s very handsome. ” Eh. “
Zakir Hussain performed on Van Morrison’s 1979 album Into the Music and the American band Earth, Wind and Fire’s Powerlight in 1983. And “Kisi Se Na Kehna” was also released in July 1983.
In addition, Faiz’s mention also comes through Saeed Jaffrey’s Lucknowi style, when Saeed says in the film, “You want kitna blood …”.
That is, in the middle of the story of the film, Rishi Da used to make a different kind of social commentary. Even after years of watching these films, the real events and time cycle of that era continue to be made known.

power struggle
Jokingly, Rishi da also takes over governments in his films. Like “Kisi Se Na Kehna,” when Utpal Dutt sees the illiterate and girl from the Rama village (i.e. Naval Deepti) of Jhoothmooth, is he very impressed and says God still makes a girl like that?
In return, Saeed Jaffrey responds, “One part is the hand of God, some of his parents and some of the government who forgot to open an English school nearby.”
That is, satire on power in things.
The merit of these cheeky dialogues and one of the lines of the film goes to Rahi Masoom Raza, who has written dialogues for films like ‘Golmaal’, ‘Karz’, ‘Lamhe’ and his dialogues written in Mahabharata are popular so far. To describe his personality, a separate article is needed.

Hrishikesh Mukherjee punctual
Now both Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Farooq Shaikh are no longer in this world, but in a BBC interview in 2011, Farooq Sheikh reminded Rishi da this way: “Rishi da used to work with the same artists with whom he was happy to work, which is why he most often repeated the actors in his films, he was very punctual, and once a big star came to his set at 9 to 12.30, Rishi da was very angry. “As soon as that star Rishi Da, who prepared for the shot after putting on make-up, said packing. There will be no shooting today.”
Hrishikesh Mukherjee worked with Farooq Sheikh in the films “Rang Birangi” and “Kisi Se Na Kehna”. In a special appearance on ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’, ‘Golmaal’ Amol Palekar also takes a look.
Recalling Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Amol Palekar had said in an interview with the BBC: “He didn’t try to make an impact as a director. He just believed in telling the story in a simple way. He really liked actors. He used to create a comfortable atmosphere. which made it much easier for everyone while he was acting in. He didn’t believe in taking a review.
“Sometimes we would say that Rishi gives this prey was not good. Make one more prey. Then I would say that no child, who has done well. Still, if we don’t believe it, I would say it’s okay to do one. More dam. Then he’ll take another. As soon as the dam is complete, I’d say wow, wow. What’s up. It’s fun. But we’ll stick with the first dam. “

The trio of Deepti Naval, Farooq Sheikh and Saeed Jaffrey
Speaking of the movie ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’, screenwriters like Sachin Bhowmick have written the story of ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’ which they have written ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Karz’, ‘Karma’ , ‘Koyala’, ‘Taal’, ‘Koi’. He also did screenplays like ‘Mil Gaya’, ‘Krrish’. Bappi Lahiri not only gave music but also sang.
As for the music, in the dialogues of the film, the mention of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle is also made by Rishi Da under the pretext. They were both going on their heels at the time. And in the film, Deven Varma praises one of the voices of his fiancée giving her the status of Lata Bhosle: “a voice that has a cocktail of the voices of Lata and Asha”.
‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Bawarchi’, ‘Rang Birangi’ – ‘Kisi Se Na Kehna’ is not called my favorite film compared to other Hrishikesh Mukherjee films of the same genre, but when it comes of acid and Hrishikesh gives sweet films, it is also there. Deepti Naval, Farooq Sheikh and Saeed Jaffrey, who worked together on ‘Chashme Baddoor’ in 1981, are not able to create this magic, but they do make a lovely smile on their face.
The controversy surrounding Mohammad Zubair has once again put this film by Christikesh Mukherjee in the spotlight after 41 years.

Well, how the problem of the film is finally solved, whether it is solved or not, what about the debate between modern girl and Indian girl, you will only know after watching the film.
The whole Faiz sher, which Saeed Jaffrey mentions in the movies-
How much blood do you want and Arz-e-Watan?
One that boils Tire Ariz-e-Be-Rang
How many sighs will the cold liver end
How many tears can blossom your souls
(Ariz-e-be-rang – the color of roses like cheeks; Sahara – desert, Virana)
