The girl jumped into a nearby drain to save her life. When he drowned in the water and came out, he caught fire again. The villagers somehow saved him and sent him to the hospital.

The village Sanjay Bhagat said: “The family raises cattle. At a distance of 100-150 meters from the village, he had built a Madaya (straw). There the family keeps the animals’ fodder. The girl had gone there to bring food to the village. After eating the food, the father went to get the medicine from the APS. Meanwhile, the accused boy came and forcibly wanted to do something with him. In protesting against the girl, the boy went he returned home and burned her by spraying gasoline.
Sanjay said, “A drain flows nearby where the girl jumped to save herself, and fought to avoid being burned.” He drowned in the drain and when he came out he caught fire again. After that, the people of the village rescued him and took him to the hospital, where he was referred to SKMCH in Muzaffarpur when the situation was critical and he died there after 15 days. He said so far no government aid has been received. Both the victim and the defendant belong to the backward community.
According to doctors, the girl had suffered 40 percent burns. In view of his critical condition, he was admitted to SKMCH in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar for treatment where he died.
