Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde in an interview elaborated his position on many points such as the revolt with Shiv Sena, Mahavikas Aghadi, the discussion with Uddhav Thackeray. Shinde made it clear that Shiv Sena made no profit even after Thackeray was the CM. I had talked to Uddhav Thackeray many times about this, but we could not convince him.
Shinde said Shiv Sena did not get any benefit from Maha Vikas Aghadi. Even though our party is the CM, we reached number 4 in the Nagar Panchayat election. CM Shinde also said that we are not doing anything illegal. We must work according to the rules, laws and constitution. Today we have more than 2/3 of a majority, so our decision is legal. The speaker also recognized us. The Supreme Court arrested those who filed a lawsuit against us.
Our deputies could not do the job
Shinde said that during the former MVA government, our MPs also had difficulty doing the work of their constituencies as the Allies tried to empower those they had lost before them. Due to lack of funds, our deputies were unable to do the development work. We talked to old people, but without success, our 40-50 deputies revolted.
He took this step through Hindutva
Shinde said there was public perception that the BJP is doing anything for power, but they showed that these 50 people (the Shinde faction) have taken this step through Hindutva. The agenda of the BJP is development and Hindutva. Despite having more MPs, BJP supported us and also supported the CM post.
Center and PM Modi with us for development
The Maharashtra CM said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked me to take the state forward on the path of development. He also said that he and the central government are with us. This is a big problem. We did nothing illegal, as we had a pre-voting alliance with the BJP.
