Aam Aadmi party defeated in Punjab Sangrur by victory of election results in Delhi | Bypoll 2022 election result: AAP defeat in the seat of CM Bhagwant Mann, but Delhi remains brilliant

New Delhi: Simranjit Singh Mann, of the Akali Dal Maan faction, defeated young Aam Aadmi Party candidate Gurmel Singh in the by-elections for Sangrur Lok Sabha’s seat in the Punjab. This is the defeat of CM Bhagwant Mann instead of Gurmel Singh, because that seat was vacant due to his resignation.

The “value” of AAP decreased in the Punjab

Bhagwant Mann, who became prime minister about 100 days ago, has already failed the test. The Aam Aadmi Party, which came to power with the motto of change and high hopes, could not overcome the first political challenge it received in the form of Sangrur by-elections.

Sangrur MP Simranjit Singh Mann said that “what will be discussed all over the world, including India, a much smaller candidate, whom people used to say no one will vote for you, defeated such big candidates.” Our spirits are so high that we will not remain silent now, after a long time, such a great victory of Shiromani Akali Dal has been achieved.

Simranjit Singh Mann is the head of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar. Mann, who was a police officer, left his job in 1984 in protest of Operation Blue Star. He first won the Lok Sabha elections of Tarn Taran in 1989. Akali Dal Amritsar was formed in 1994 at the urging of Manjit Singh, the then Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht. In 1999, he won the Lok Sabha elections in Sangrur. In 2014, he had contested the seat of Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha, but his deposit was lost. This time he overthrew the party fort Aam Aadmi in Sangrur, from where the current CM Bhagwant Mann was twice a deputy.

Question raised by the murder of Musewala

In fact, during the brief tenure of the Aam Aadmi party government, the situation of law and order in the Punjab began to increase. The biggest blow to the party image came from the assassination of singer Sidhu Musewala.

The issue of the assassination of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala dominated Sangrur’s by-elections. Opposition parties blamed the AAP government led by Prime Minister Bhagwant Mann. Musewala was to campaign for Simarjit Singh Mann of Akali Dal (Amritsar) in this election. For this reason, leaving the AAP youth seat in Sangrur, he continued to promote Mann.

Seeing how the bet got out of hand, the Aam Aadmi party insisted. Many ministers also ran in the campaign, but with the support of the youth, former police officer Simranjit Singh Mann, 77, defeated the party’s young candidate Aam Aadmi. Simranjit Singh Mann won the closed contest by 5,882 votes.

After the defeat at Sangrur, the reaction of CM Bhagwant Mann also came to the fore, who tweeted that “The decision of the people of Sangrur is at the forefront … I am sincerely working day and night for the progress and prosperity of the Punjab., I will work even harder I am your son and I will not leave any stone unturned to illuminate the future of your families.

AAP continues to shine in Delhi

Although the Aam Aadmi party suffered a setback in the Punjab, its threat remained in Delhi. Durgesh Pathak, of the Aam Aadmi party, won by 11,555 votes in the by-elections in the Rajendra Nagar assembly seat. Rajesh Bhatia of the BJP came in second.

After the victory, Durgesh Pathak met CM Arvind Kejriwal. He called it a victory for the work of the Delhi government.

Durgesh Pathak, a Rajendra Nagar MP from Delhi, said this victory is the victory of Kejriwal ji, the work of the AAP. Blessings of Lord Ram, the BJP had lost the election from day one, they have no agenda. We live in the hearts of the people.

Party convener Aam Aadmi and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal congratulated Durgesh Pathak on his victory. He tweeted: “My sincere thanks to the people of Rajendra Nagar, I am grateful for this unfathomable affection and love of the people of Delhi. This inspires us to work harder and serve. The people defeated their gross policy and appreciated the our good work. Thanks Rajendra Nagar, thanks Delhi.

In fact, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had put all the emphasis on winning the seat of Rajendra Nagar. Kejriwal had campaigned for about 3 days in the assembly seat of Rajendra Nagar, sought support for Durgesh Pathak by doing a road show. Along with Kejriwal, almost all of his ministers also came to the campaign.

The Aam Aadmi Party has saved the prestige by winning this seat which was left vacant after the resignation of Raghav Chadha. However, the party’s credibility has been affected by the defeat at Sangrur, home of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.
