Hey, you’re a girl, what are you going to do with the criminals … Take care of the office service, you’re fine girls. If it happens, then you will have to go home, how will you do it? patrolling. These sentences may never have been heard by the general public, but it is common for a female police officer to hear these sentences inside a police station. In a country dominated by men, women may have gotten jobs in equal places on the basis of the reservation. But they rarely have responsibilities and opportunities to prove themselves.

The responsibility for proving this wrong thinking towards women every day lies with the northwest region of the country’s capital, Delhi.Tejaswini‘The team has picked up. This team of 52 female police officers has captured more than 100 criminals in one year and given them a lesson. They are emerging as the ‘Lady Singham’ team in Delhi.

To this campaign, which began at 11 police stations in the North West District of Delhi Police, women officers and police chiefs have been added on July 10 last year. For the first time, a female police officer has been displaced from the desk service and has been given responsibility for the ground service. Now, instead of preparing the files in the constable’s office, these women do the work of catching the canals and the malefactors.

In one year, this ‘Lady Singham’ has resolved 183 complaints.

When I got to the office, I saw that girls only used to reverse the record, only then should the thought change.
Usha Rangnani, DCP of the Northwest District, who prepared Lady Singham’s team, explains in a conversation with Ms. Bhaskar that when I arrived at the office, I saw that most of the girls were involved in the desk service. I didn’t know much about how to work in the field. That’s when the idea came to mind that we should get these girls to do real field policing. Thus began Tejaswini.

Many girls joined this scheme with their own minds, from each police station, one to two women were assigned responsibility for field service. Today these conceivable women have shown that they are no less than a man. Seeing the spirit of these female police officers, other girls also want to be part of this campaign.

Usha Rangnani, DCP of the Northwest District, says: Many women officers have also become police chiefs getting a promotion for the strength of their work.

Convincing older people that “girls can work too” is nothing short of a challenge
When I was given command of the district, I was not seen to be a woman. They only saw me as a police officer. Similarly, I also saw the young policewoman as a police officer. But yes, these women have to face more problems than us when it comes to work, because at the senior level we have a lot of facilities like the home cart. But, not everything is so easy at the junior level.
This constable lady had been doing desk work for a long time. At first, they were also afraid of whether they could work or not. His manager was also afraid to give responsibility. We advised seniors and explained that “girls also work the same way as men.”
Today these girls are proving themselves in all the field activities like the field police, the patrol of beatings, the detection of crimes, the capture of criminals, the capture of bad characters, the fight against antisocial elements.

These girls also do the night service without fear. One day at 3pm, Surprise came to the checkpoint and after reaching the checkpoint picket called all the bikes that were making rounds at the time. I was surprised to see that even at that time two young policemen were patrolling.
