Gurvinder Singh, who started the service by setting up an ashram on the road of the city’s Civil Hospital, has now developed a large ashram on the national highway through trust. So far, more than 600 homeless people have been welcomed here. Apart from this, 370 people and women have also been introduced to the family.
The car accident became the turning point of the start of the service
Gurvinder Singh explains that he came from Ellenabad to Sirsa on June 7, 1997 on a scooter. There was a car accident on the way. He was admitted to the DMC, Ludhiana for treatment. Due to a spinal cord injury, the lower waist became useless. Doctors said more wheelchair life will have to be spent. During this, lying in bed, he wondered what would happen next in life. But the turning point of social service also started from here. Gurvinder Singh says he saw a hospital social organization start a free milk service to patients in the morning and evening. Not only that, it also gives Datun bread, and so on. to patients. Inspired by this, he also returned and started the free milk service with some friends at Sirsa Civil Hospital. Rishipal Jindal, Ranjeev Garg, Sudhir Marodia, Gurmeet Singh and Priyavardhan also supported the milk service started at the civilian hospital since January 1, 2005.

In November 2010, a woman was walking down the road in a state of disorder. When I tried to send him to a safe place from the road, someone told him it is an ashram in Pingalbara, leave him there. Currently 335 homeless people live in the ashram. While after the successful treatment of 370, they have also been introduced to their families. There are currently 44 children in the ashram. The treatment, manipulation and education of which are being organized. Apart from that, there are also 22 helpless elderly people.

Gurvinder Singh says Bhai Kanhaiya Public School will now be established in the name of trust. For this reason, land has been purchased for the school on the national road. Free education will be provided at this school. In this, the children of Bhai Kanhaiya Ashram and other orphanages will receive free education. Children who have no parents and live with relatives will also be admitted.
