Uncontrollable school van crashes into pillar, five children injured

The drunk driver fled the scene leaving the children tormented. The school teachers, who got the information, admitted the children to a private hospital. Police also found a full can of beer inside the van.
A van installed at Narayan Public School in Girdharipur area was going to school with 11 children from Gohani Khurd on Saturday morning. The van went out of control and crashed into the HT line pole as soon as it approached Hatte adda on the Babarpur-Sikrodi road. Rishu (10), Anshul (6), Pragya (4), Srishti (10) and Manvi (11) were injured in the accident. The driver of the van fled the scene leaving the children moaning in pain. A can of beer was found in the van and he was drunk.
The school teachers, who came to the information of the accident, managed to treat the injured children in a private hospital. After the accident, the management declared a school holiday. The police, who got the information, took the van into their possession. CO Ajitmal Pradeep Kumar Kotwali in-charge Satyaprakash went to Gohani Khurd and inquired about the welfare of the injured children. The CO said that the children injured in the accident are safe.
