Network collapsed due to cable failure, online work stopped

Ambedkar Nagar. Communication services were disrupted due to a technical fault in BSNL’s Underground Fiber Cable (UFC) on Saturday evening under the district headquarters overbridge. Due to unavailability of network signal, all work related to online service along with mobile service stopped.
Due to this, work related to data service from railway reservation center to banks and other public and private offices was disrupted throughout the day on Monday, causing problems to the needy. The biggest problem was on the first day of the month, employees and pensioners could not withdraw money from banks. After the breakdown was reported, the technical team coming from Lucknow was also seen struggling to rectify the disruption till late afternoon.
BSNL mobile and database service was disrupted from Saturday night to Monday evening due to non-receipt of network signal due to cable failure. During this time, due to non-functionality of WhatsApp and other social networks along with voice calls, CUG numbers associated with government offices as well as common people had to use SIMs from other networks to talk throughout the day. Due to network breakdown, work from railway reservation in district to ARTO office, Tehsil offices, collection to banks and e-facilitation centers was disrupted completely throughout the day on Monday.

Ticket booking work at Akbarpur railway station came to a complete halt due to collapse of BSNL service at 4.10 pm on Saturday. Due to non-repair of network service till Monday evening, passengers who reached the railway station to book their ticket had to return disappointed. Booking supervisor Brijesh Yadav said this has directly affected the revenue sales of around three lakhs per day. Expressing displeasure, Atul Kumar of Shahzadpur and Rahul Srivastava of Miranpur, who reached the railway station to get a reserved ticket, said that due to a failure in the BSNL service, there is a problem due to the lack of work
He could not pay his salary and pension
The direct impact of the disruption in BSNL’s network service was visible in the working of the district Treasury and banks. On the occasion of the first day of the month, people faced problems due to non-payment of bill payments of a large number of employees and pensioners. District Treasury Officer Jagropan Ram said till Saturday afternoon, the employees whose bills were presented in the office were being paid. Payment related work gets affected after BSNL network goes down at 4:10 PM. On Monday, the salary and pension payment bills of around 20 thousand employees and pensioners of various offices were blocked due to network unavailability.
Necessary work to be done by making alternative arrangements
The derailed BSNL service also had its impact from ARTO to Tehsil and also the office. During this, important works have been carried out through the network of other private telecommunications companies of these offices to deal with urgent works. RI Bipin Kumar said work was affected due to non-availability of network since Saturday evening. This trend continued on Monday as well. During this time, work related to fitness and licensing was affected by the deposit of the tax. In Tehsil also there was a problem due to non-fulfillment of work related to online service. People who reached the tehsil to collect other important documents like caste, income and residence certificates, including a copy of Khatauni, had to return disappointed even after waiting for a day.
