Children are forced to study in dilapidated schools
The classes at Lal Bahadur Nagar Government School, which were recommended for dismantling four-and-a-half years ago by officials of the Public Works Department (PWD Rajnandgaon) as dilapidated. More than 650 children are still studying at the same school. Considering the possibility of an accident and the dilapidated condition of the building, the children are being taught sitting in additional rooms in other schools. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had also announced during his visit the construction of a new building at LB Nagar, which is considered the political hub of the Dongargaon assembly. But so far it has not been approved.

MLA is also giving guarantees

Plaster falls from the roof of the 35-year-old building in Lal Bahadur Nagar, cracks in the walls and broken windows and doors. Being the largest village in the block, maximum number of children are studying in LB Nagar High School. Regional MLA Daleshwar Sahu is also giving only one assurance about the construction. Because of this, other members of the school staff are working under the dilapidated building closing the rooms. The decommissioning report four and a half years ago was not taken seriously by the person in charge.

Classroom made of laboratory, private students for practicals
The school management has to organize the classes in small spare rooms of the school. While waiting for the new building to be built, the management and teachers have removed the laboratory rooms to organize meetings so that the children’s education is not affected. So that the studies are regular. On the other hand, science students are deprived of internships due to the elimination of laboratories. This school building in LB Nagar, the political center of Dongargaon district, is 35 and a half years old. In view of the deteriorating condition, the PWD officials had given a report for dismantling.
PWD SDO made the report in 2017
The then PWD SDO had clearly written in his report in 2017 that the balconies of the school building had completely rotted. Due to which there have been incidents of falling plaster and concrete in some places. The windows and doors are broken. Cracks in the walls, plaster and floor have been damaged. The strength of the concrete roof and thatched roof is exhausted. Therefore, it is necessary to dismantle the old building and build a new one. The building is in the same condition even after four and a half years of reports.
Many ministers and deputies left the school
The 35-year-old building has left many such people who still hold political positions. But call it irony or inaction that children and parents are sitting to this day waiting for the construction of a new building. From here many public representatives including former MLA Hiraram Verma, former MLA Kheduram Sahu, former district panchayat president Bharat Verma, former district panchayat member Someshwar Verma got education here.

Accept command not received
