The example of women empowerment is the result of Nirmala’s hard work that Sumerpur Gram Panchayat has become the first Gram Panchayat to get the Chief Minister’s Incentive Award. For the development work done by Nirmala, former DM Shambhu Kumar, project director Anil Singh has been given a summons. Due to the reservation of seats in the Panchayat elections held this time, Nirmala supported Pradhan Ramdhiraj who is taking forward the vision of construction development. At the same time, many other village heads in the district are trying to develop their gram panchayat on their model by learning from the work done by Nirmala.

It is because of Nirmala Singh’s development model, that Sumerpur Gram Panchayat was selected for the Chief Minister’s Panchayat Incentive Award for 2021-22. Sumerpur bagged the third position among 301 gram panchayats selected for better development in the state. As a result, an additional 62 lakh was given to Sumerpur for its development. Sumerpur Panchayat was reserved in the Panchayat elections held last year. In which Nirmala supported the candidate Ramdhiraj won due to better development in the village and now he is taking Nirmala’s goals and works forward. Let’s say it is the gift of former village head Nirmala, that Sumerpur got the title of the first ODF Panchayat in the district. Not only this, every resident of the Gram Panchayat has a pucca house, 78% literacy, zero child mortality and 100% vaccination during the Corona period. In early 2010, Nirmala’s son Dharmendra Singh was its head and since then development work has been going on in Sumerpur.
Work done in Sumerpur-
– Bins in every 10 houses, at all school intersections
Streetlights all over town, streetlights at every crossroads
– Conservation of trees by making platforms around all old trees
– The 110 manual pumps are operational, more than a dozen updated
– Interlocking of all lanes and drainage construction
– Construction of 35 pits in the 14 houses for drainage
– Sewer cleaning for drainage
– Construction of six individual ponds and three for water collection to increase farmers’ income
Proposed Work-
Multipurpose Building: Rozgar Sevak Deepak Singh informed that a proposal to construct a multipurpose building in the village has been sent to the DPRO office. He said that the work of public service center equipped with WiFi, RO plant, open gymnasium, tricycle for garbage collection etc. is proposed. in the multipurpose building.
