In the post, it appeals to people that this girl is separated from her loved ones, help her reunite with her family. People are posting on Facebook and claiming, “Yeh daughter found in Bareilly on train coming from Mumbai, send Sonal Patel’s name so she can meet her parents.” Vishwas’ team found in their research that this claim is false. Soon, her picture went viral on Facebook and was widely shared on WhatsApp. Within 20 minutes of the image going viral, authorities were able to locate the girl’s mother and relatives and released her to her family.

According to the news, “A photo of four-year-old Avani Jain with a Railway Police official claiming how she had gotten lost on the Nagpur platform was shared by the railways on WhatsApp and Facebook minutes after the girl got lost. The photo showed the girl holding the hand of a lady railway police officer. Soon, the photo was shared by one of the officials and spread to nearly 200 whatsapp groups within minutes. In the 20 minutes after the picture went viral, the girl, who was traveling with her mother and family from Nagpur to Bhopal, with the help of the railway police, was reunited with her mother Sunaina Jain and her relatives .
