Demotion of Gadkari and promotion of Fadnavis, out of the equation changed to RSS, what is BJP’s future planning?

Gadkari wanted to become the chief minister of the state, but the Modi-Shah duo sidelined him and installed Devendra Fadnavis, who had less experience than him, in the chief minister’s chair. Fadnavis is known as Maharashtra BJP’s result giver. Party’s victory in Maharashtra from Rajya Sabha to Legislative Council.

This is the era of Vajpayee and Advani. Pramod Mahajan used to play the role of Chanakya back then. Senior journalist Vijay Trivedi once asked Pramod Mahajan who do you consider a greater leader between Vajpayee and Advani. Pramod Mahajan replied that the great leader is one whom the Sangh regards as a great leader. Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani, current Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, these are the diamonds which have come out of the Sangh excavation. But what happened is that 13 years after Mohan Bhagwat was handed over to a leader who had spent his childhood in the commanding wing of the BJP, Gadkari, the BJP MLA from Nagpur, was removed from the board parliamentarian of the party after the green signal of the same. Sangh is removed. Apart from that, he was also dismissed from the Central Electoral Committee (CEC).

The surprising decision to remove senior BJP functionary and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari from the party’s parliamentary board was taken with the consent of the RSS leadership. The Sangh was angered by the senior minister’s “out of turn” attitude and some comments. Gadkari’s comments were used by opponents and others against the party and the government at the Centre. According to several senior BJP sources, the Sangh leadership had warned former BJP chief Gadkari against his tendency to make comments. It is worth mentioning that while he was in the party, party leader Gadkari wished for the strength of the Congress and at times said that the BJP is not just Modi-Shah’s party.

Wishing Congress strength, Indira’s praise

At a function held in Nagpur last month, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had said that sometimes he thinks of quitting politics because there is much more to do in life. In another function, Gadkari had said that political parties are sought after by donors and their demands should be met. Since I’m not the party president, I don’t care about these things. At a journalism awards program held in Pune, Nitin Gadkari said, “The role of the opposition party in a democracy is very important. I sincerely wish the Congress to remain strong. During a program in Mumbai, Nitin Gadkari had said: “Politicians who see dreams are liked by the people, but if the dreams shown are not fulfilled, the public also beats them. Therefore, it shows only those dreams that can be fulfilled. While BJP has been fiercely criticizing Indira Gandhi for imposing Emergency on the country, Nitin Gadkari praised Indira Gandhi during a program in Nagpur. When the Maratha reservation issue was in full swing in Maharashtra, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had added to the Modi government’s woes by saying that what is the use of giving reservation when there are no jobs in the country.

What is useful is his and what is useless is not his

Gadkari has made statements that rise above the party line many times, which will not look good if seen from the party’s point of view. The decision to remove Gadkari has been taken with the consent of the RSS. Leaders say the decision to remove Gadkari from the parliamentary board was conveyed a few weeks ago. There have been a lot of changes in the BJP after 2014 and no one can deny that. It has the ability to turn a losing bet into a win. The word defeat now goes around the party so much that it has made party politics a full-time job. Whether it’s entering the fray through election rallies or turning to a virtual platform while working from home, the party’s only policy is The Show Must Go On. He is not afraid to take risks, his simple formula is that what is useful is his and what is useless is not even his.

Sangh took command from BJP through Gadkari

In 2009, when Mohan Bhagwat took over as Sarsanghchalak, the general elections were just two months away. The BJP was defeated in these elections and Advani remained Prime Minister-in-waiting. After this, the Sangh began to consolidate its control over the party again. After the electoral defeat, the new BJP president was announced in August. The president became a man who had not had much relevance up to that point in national politics. Nitin Gadkari was a resident of Nagpur. Hailing from a Brahmin family, Gadkari’s childhood was also spent in the Sangh branch. Before that, he had been the state president of the BJP in Maharashtra and under his leadership the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance was defeated in the Maharashtra assembly elections. But by bringing Nitin Gadkari from Maharashtra politics to the politics of the Centre, the Sangh has once again taken the reins of the BJP in its hands.

relationship with modi

In 2009, when Nitin Gadkari was appointed BJP national president, Narendra Modi was the only BJP chief minister who did not come to Delhi to wish him. At the same time, Gadkari remained as the party’s national president from 2009 to 2013. During this, Narendra Modi was the CM of Gujarat. Nitin Gadkari was also instrumental in activating Sanjay Joshi, considered a staunch opponent of Narendra Modi, in the party. When Nitin Gadkari made Sanjay Joshi the convener of the UP elections in 2012, Modi did not like him and did not go to campaign in Uttar Pradesh. Later in 2012, at the party’s Mumbai session, Modi demanded the resignation of Sanjay Joshi. However, many political pundits also consider this as the reason for the changing equation in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Gadkari’s close association with the RSS is well known. But things started to change after Dattatreya Hosabole became Sarkaryavah. Sarkaryavah is second only to the Sangh chief and also takes important decisions. For Gadkari, Bhaiyyaji Joshi was more favorable than Hosabole.

“If Gadkari cannot read the saffron mood, further action will be taken.”

The Sangh’s tough stand helped the BJP leadership, which is already reeling from Gadkari’s comments. After that, he decided to remove him from the party’s highest decision-making body. Sources said both the BJP and the Sangh leadership agree that a person, irrespective of his stature, cannot go against the rules of organizational conduct.

Apart from this, forming the government in the state with Eknath Shinde’s faction and toppling the MVA government were counted among his major achievements.
