Leaders of all parties are leaving no room for attacking each other for the Gujarat Assembly elections due later this year. Shah was addressing a gathering at the opening ceremony of the 36th National Games being held in Gujarat. During this he said that those who want to bring Medha Patak who opposes Gujarat and our life saving project Narmada and leaves no chance to malign Gujarat on every possible platform should be stopped here. There is no place for those who oppose Gujarat.
“Trust the people of Gujarat, they will never accept naysayers”
The Union Home Minister said that he has faith in the people of Gujarat. They will never accept those who have opposed the state. He said that under the leadership of the then Chief Minister of the state Narendra Modi, Gujarat has developed in various fields in the last twenty years and has set benchmarks which are unlikely to be broken in the coming decades.

Shah further said that under Modi’s leadership, infrastructure such as roads and ports have been developed in Gujarat, 24-hour power supply has been ensured and the law and order situation has been strengthened and order
“Gujarat has achieved an important place in the world of sports”
Union Home Minister on Sunday said that Gujarat achieved a major place in the world of sports under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and there was no sport for which an international tournament could not be organized in the state
Gujarat is hosting the 36th National Games. On this occasion, he said, “I would like to tell the people across the country that Gujarat has broken all records in creating sports infrastructure in the last decade under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. There is no sport left for which Gujarat has international level tournaments which could not be arranged.

He said that the ‘Sports City’ to be built near the world’s largest cricket stadium ‘Narendra Modi Stadium’ will make Ahmedabad perhaps the world’s largest stadium and city with ‘Sports City’.
“Prime Minister Modi increased the budget from Rs 866 crore for the 2014 National Games to Rs 2 billion by 2022,” he said. Shah said there has also been a significant increase in the number of medals won by Indian athletes, which includes the Olympics and the Asian Games.
