Tuberculosis patients will now have x-rays at their doorsteps

Wool. Now patients suffering from Tuberculosis (TB) in the district will get X-ray facility at their doorstep. For this, a portable X-ray machine will be available in the district in the initial phase. This machine will be used only for x-rays of patients related to tuberculosis. On behalf of the District Industrial Association, the Health Department will soon deliver the machines. That is why the Department of Health has started the process.
Portable X-ray machines were requisitioned from the district by the Health Department. On this, the district administration had appealed to the industrial association to donate portable X-ray machines. Under this appeal, several industries have accepted the administration’s request to supply portable X-ray machines.
We explain that in addition to examining the sputum of the aforementioned patient, if the symptoms of tuberculosis are seen, an X-ray must be taken. That’s why the patient has to go to the hospital. To overcome this problem, the said patient will now be x-rayed at their door. Through this machine, people suffering from tuberculosis in the district will be detected as soon as possible and the treatment of these patients will also be started at the right time.
Apart from this, the portable X-ray machines can also be used in the active TB case finding campaign which is run from time to time. In this regard, Chief Medical Officer Dr Manju Behl said that the district would soon get a portable X-ray machine. With this, the X-ray facility will be at the doorstep of TB patients.
Maternal and child hospital ready in Una
Wool. The building of the Maternal and Child Hospital of Una has been completed. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will soon inaugurate the Mother and Child Hospital (MCH). With the construction of MCH at a cost of Rs 28.20 crore, pregnant women and babies will have better healthcare facilities under one roof.
District Health Officer, Una Dr Sukhdeep Sidhu informed that the hospital will have two operating theaters, two wards, two high dependency units and SNCU facilities. The OPD for children and pregnant women will also be shifted to this new hospital building. The MCH will have modern machines, laparoscope, heater, phototherapy machine, labor room. Apart from this, vaccination of children will also be done from here.
Dr. Sukhdeep Sidhu informed that a new OPD block is proposed to be constructed at Una Regional Hospital at a cost of Rs.9.07 crore. Funds have been approved for this. Apart from this, a trauma center is also to be set up at a cost of Rs 8.61 crore. Apart from this, DPR is being prepared for the construction of CCU.
On the other hand, 6th State Finance Commission Chairman Satpal Singh Satti said that the current government has increased the capacity of Una Regional Hospital from 200 beds to 300 beds. At the same time, 15 doctor positions and 76 auxiliary health personnel positions have also been created.
